What Should I Wear?

We will move during these workshops but nothing will ever be asked of you that is beyond your capability. We recommend you wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.  Layers are a good idea as we shift between movement experiences and spoken reflections you may want to cool down or warm up.

What Should I Have On My Feet?

We generally work in bare feet so that we can be more conscious of the relationship between the floor and our own bodies.  Socks are not considered safe to move in but bring some nice thick ones to put on in moments of discussion.

What Should I Bring?

We recommend the following:

  • A bottle of water
  • A light snack that you can have during breaks
  • A notebook to capture any moments of learning you’d like to retain.

What Is Your Touch Policy?

In Movement recognises the positive role touch and physical contact can have on our movement  and learning experiences.  We ensure that all touch is guided, appropriate, safe and consented to.

Workshops may involve movement that requires physical contact between participants or between the workshop leader and a  participant.

If this is something you would like to discuss further or if you are attending a workshop but would like further information please don’t hesitate to get in touch lucy@in-movement.co.uk
